I have an Aimpoint comp model that I moved to a pistol build, but I've noticed that its a little harder to get sufficient cheek weld on the pistol vs the rifle that it was on.
My question is, is there an optic that would have a better FOV like an Eotech or something else where cheek weld isn't as crucial? |

Cheekweld or "aiming" is not a consideration with an Aim Point sight. There is no parallax, if the dot is on the target, that is where the shot placement is regardless of where your eye/head is at in relationship to the firearm at the time.(Within reason of course) |

Would a higher mount be an option? |

Not sure what mount you were using on the other gun. With a mount for "lower 1/3" co-witness you should be able to see the target without even getting your cheek on the tube. If you used a "absolute" co-witness mount then yes, you need to get down on the tube to get a good sight picture. Try the lower 1/3 mount. I have no problems using it on a pistol. |
