Seems like it would make sense to have an adjustable gas block on an AR pistol.  Any thoughts on this?  I need to build a couple pistols, one for me and one for a friend, and I wanna do them right of course.  Looking at the ACE buffer or the M1S buffer at this point, but not 100% sure yet.

Thanks!

Many adjustable gas blocks just won't hold up very well to the added pressure/heat from being so close to the chamber in the pistol position.

There are exceptions, but most of the nice ones are selectable, not infinitely adjustable.

If the port is the right size, most people simply tune the function of their shorties with different buffer weights.

Oh ok, cool.  Thanks.  I have not played at all with buffer weights as of yet.  Haven't had a need to in a few .223, a few 6.5G, and a .50Beo build.  All ran well.  ALthough, I DO use adjustable gas blocks on the 6.5G guns.  PRI adjustable gas blocks.
