I'm looking at buying either the 11.5, or 12.5 complete upper from BCM for a pistol build.  I don't want to have any regrets later for not getting the best bang for my money, so I thought It would be best to ask the experts here.  I want this to be my SHTF, can count on and bet my life it's going to fuction 100% gun.

Anybody running a comlplete BCM upper?  How do you like it?  Any regrets?

What lower are you using?  I'd like to get a complete lower from Spikes, or RockRiver.  Which do you think would be best?

Is it worth the extra $ to get the 410 stainless barrel?

Is there any other option out there (Complete upper and Lower combination) that would be any better.

I'm looking at using 62 -75 grain bullets primarily, so I was thinking 1/7 twist, but I notice the Stainless barrels are all 1/8.  Problem?

I know this is alot of questions and you guys are probably tired of going over this type stuff over and over, but your help will be greatly appreciated and I really depend on this group and value the info I get from you guys.

Thanks!

I have a BCM 11.5 on a spikes lower. The spikes lower is sloppy but everything works just fine. The 11.5 has been flawless now on a bunch of different ammo. This is my fun pistol\ end of the world rig too. Pic:

Niceeeeeeeeee!

What lower do you wish you had gone with.  Sloppy, as in loose fit?

Thanks..

My opinions....

Get a 12.5" if you plan on using a can.

Get a 11.5" if you don't

Get stainless free floated if your looking to ring every bit of accuracy out of it.....

R6 - You have an extremely nice kit!

Curious what kind of pistol buffer tube that is, and what is the length?  It appears to have a rear flange and plastic end cap (cane tip) and looks to be longer than 7.5".

Again my complements on a great build...

You will be hard pressed to find any "regrets" buying a BCM upper.
Personally, I would go with an 11.5"

I bought the12.5 upper because I have a reflex can. It is a sweet rig. Shoots smooth, no issues so far. I was surprised how quiet it was with the can. Hearing safe. I wouldn't, and didn't get the stainless barrel. I have it on a Mega billet lower, fits well. It's future home is a Noveske lower once the paper work gets back.
