I would like to start a 556 pistol build using a piston upper. I like the POF but wish it would come with a shorter than 9.5' barrel.
Any thoughts on a piston build or using the POF upper would be great thanks in advance Will |

I have shot a bunch of the Addax Tactical GPU piston uppers including 10.5 inch pistol uppers. With the included muzzle break made specifically for Addax, the 10.5 is very controllable in rapid fire and is a pretty wicked setup with an Eotech sight. I highly recommend them. They run great and keep the gun clean. I'm not sure if they offer a barrel shorter than 10.5 but you might be able to get a custom one built for you if they can get ahold of a barrel. My friend has the POF gas piston upper with a 16 inch barrel. He has never shot it, won it in at a match, and is going to sell it. I don't care for the handguard it comes with. It is a quality build and probably runs good. Both companies are about the same price so its up to you. Good luck with the build |

Nice Is that a piston gun?
Went to the Machine gun show in Carlisle PA yesterday. Man what a show. I have never been to gun show that had so many AR 's Full auto and semi. However not one short barrel piston upper in the place. They everthing else. I was able to pick up a DPMS lower parts kit for $70.00 and I spoke with the guys form Spike. Quoted:
