| I'm getting ready to put my 7.5" upper together. What hand guard do you like and why? I can't decide if I want a KISS with fixed FSB or a low pro gas block and flip up. I see short tubes and short railed hand guards. Then theres always the 7" free float. |

I've got a free float rubber coated tube on mine. (7&1/2 bbl) It works fine for me. Comfy and easy to grip.
I went with a railed gas block and mounted a buis on that. A riser under my red dot allows co witness of the sights. I tried the f marked fsb first, but couldn't use any kind of scope with it. Hope that helps a little. |

Oh man, that is awesome! That was why I got a 10.25" barrel instead of a 7" one - I wanted to use normal carbine handguards. I would have gotten the shorter one if I had known about these shorty guards. Neat! Is Cav Arms going to make them? They look like the coyote brown color of ones I have used on a couple of my builds is why I ask. |
