[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 9MM headspacing

I wanted a flat top upper for my Colt 635 SMG. I picked up a new RRA 9MM FT upper receiver and plan to swap out all of the parts from a spare Colt 635 upper I have.

If the headspace gauges say I am out of spec, how do I get the "new" upper in spec??

It's the relation between the bolt and barrel extension, no the receiver.
You'll certainly have to check headspace for safety reasons., but you should be okay if both parts headspace correctly now.
