Which brands of mags will fit the psa ar10 rifle?  This a new ar venue for me and I'm not really familiar with what will and won't work.

Magpul Pmags should work.

My PSA PA10 GenII works with Magpul, Lancer and Brownells.... But I do not recommend the Brownells Aluminum 20rd mags because of the feed lip expansion when loaded, insertion and extraction of the mag is a PITA.

I have some D&H ( steel ) on order, to see if they suffer from the same feed lip spread issue.

Pmags are good and cheap.  Lancers are "better" and more expensive.  If you want "best" and don't mind paying for it, get KAC or LaRue.

Pmags may or may not work. Some have experienced issues with them (especially in PA series). I have not (G1 and G2). Pmags have the lowest round ride height of any of them (which is what CAN cause issues) and are considered lowest tier of the poly's (and price reflects that. Lowest cost as well).

IMI's are considered an "upgrade", and have a better (higher) case ride height (not many complaints about failures to feed with these). These are middle tier (and my favorite for cost/function).

Lancer L7 are considered the BEST. They have the highest ride height (thanks to the steel feedlips) and I'm not aware of any issues with feeding in any rifles with these. They are built like a tank with the perks of steel and poly combined into one package. The steel cage triples as the cage, feedlips AND (often not mentioned, yet IMHO one of the most important aspects) a STEEL SHELF for the mag catch (won't wear out, absolutely will support the weight). However... you'll pay dearly for them (3x the cost of others) as they MSRP at $49 (ouch). But, if you want the best.. these are it.

I don't use steel or aluminum 308 mags, so can't help you on that.

Lancers or Pmags.

I have some of the Brownells mags and while they do hold 20 rounds
and feed, they are difficult to lock in the well when the bolt is closed.

Some swelling does occur (but no redness so far, lol)
however they do drop free nicely when empty.

The brownells mags were 9.99 ....and thats why I bought some.
At that price I can tinker with them a bit and will have to apparently.

Going forward I'll just get more Pmags.

The lancers are very nice with a caveat.

I was having ftfs on rounds 6-10.  1-5 Fed fine.

Pulled the mags apart and both had followers that would kind of hang up halfway up the mag body.

I touched up a few of the high areas, cycled the follower repeatedly, and polished the inside of the feed lips.

They work fine now and don't spread like my pmags.
