I got one of these a few years back. Haven't shot it much..Just enough to add an adjustment gas block and FSC brake.
I don't see much about it.. Apparently it was a small run? 18" 1:10 SS barrel. Anyone here have any pet loads or comments? |

I have one. I haven't shot a lot of different ammo thru it, but it took a liking to some ADI ammo. The 168 gr Sierra Matchking shot the best, and I used the 150 gr Swift Scirocco II bullets to take a deer a couple of seasons ago. I started out with some ZQI ammo I got from Walmart to zero it in, which was not as accurate as the ADI. I tried some Remington Core Lokt 150 gr ammo that was OK for accuracy, then I tried the American Whitetail 150 gr that shot just a tad better. Then I found the ADI with Swift Bullets and they shot the best, so I stuck with those.
I don't have any shooting notes, so just going off memory here, and I think I remember the best 5 shot groups at 100 yards were: ZQI - 2.75" Remington Core Lokt 150 gr - 2.25" American Whitetail 150 gr - 2.0" ADI 168 gr SMK - 1.5" ADI 150 gr Swift Scirocco II - 1.75" I put on an AAC 90T flash suppressor/brake on it to mount an AAC SR-7 suppressor. When I shot the buck that was about 130 yards away, the other 3 deer it was with jumped and looked thru the woods toward my direction, then went back to feeding. My brother was about 300 yards up the hill and to my left said the gun sounded like a .22 magnum, but not a high powered rifle. I've bought some Silver State Armory ammo to try out through it this summer. I have a CMMG in 5.56 as well, and I'm impressed with their quality. In fact, the triggers on my CMMGs are probably the best I've gotten in ARs as for not having a lot of creep and grittiness. |
