| I bought an Aero Precision complete 308 upper. this one the handguard is bigger around than I prefer, not sure the outside deminsion, but insode is 1.72" . Is this diameter required due to the barrel nut size? Or is there another hardguard I might like better? |
| Some rails use/require their own barrel nut, I imagine Aero's is specific to their rail. SLR rails use their own barrel nut and they are easy to install, perfect fit/finish, and slim. I highly recommend you look at SLR for a rail replacement. No special tools required and the barrel nut does not need to be timed for the gas tube. |
