S&W?   Never shot one, but like the lighter weight of them.  I run DPMS LR 308s, one was great out the gate, one was a PIA to get running right.   The 308 ar is a very different breed for sure.  Many parts are incompatible from brand to brand, and I think S&W went pretty far off the reservation with theirs as far as compatible parts.

Somebody else should chime in with more information.

I've had mine for several years now, and I could not be more pleased.

I've modified it some (free-float rail, Geissele trigger, adj. gas block, UBR stock) but it has performed flawlessly.

I shoot it exclusively suppressed.  Accuracy is great.

I think it is a great value.

I have had one for a while and have zero complaints. I added a free float hand guard, LaRue MBT and a Magpul ACS-L stock. Really likes Nosler Trophy Grade 165 grain BTs and Hornady match 168 grain bthp rounds.
