Ok,
So I didn't want to hijack the other HG thread, so....does anyone have experience with the JP MkIII modular handguards?  They're priced competitively, but how do they stack up in terms of rigidity, etc as compared to SLR etc?

My favorite handguard. I have (5), 2 on LR308's, 3 on ar15's. Both versions share the same 2" OD which to me is perfect. extremely rigid

So with the mounting, hire rigid is the large nit that the guard bolts onto?  I saw a video that sites how sometimes the timing requires that it might not be mounted against the receiver.

?????

Hire rigid is the nit?

The upper receiver extension piece is built like a tank.

Depending on how it times, it might be slightly spaced off the upper face, but it has full engagement of the threads, and is very solid.

I like how JP uses a nut that takes a standard AR armorer's wrench on both the JP15 and AR10.

I have it on my .260 Rem AR, and have just taken it for granted that I have an AR15 handguard.

I have a JP (unsure which model) on my PDW.  Light, large ID so I can put my can under the handguard.

About my only positives.  Real pain to put on, line up and accessory rails cost a ton. Seriously considered replacing it with an SLR, but I need a large ID (1.75) for my M2 phantom.
