Hi everyone,
Decided to take a chance and buy one of Anderson Manufacturing's new AM10-BD .308 rifles.  It was a good price and I was happy with the fitment of parts on the gun...but the rails just don't do it for me.  IMO, when you have a 18" barrel you need more than a 13" rail.  To keep some involved, here is a pic, the AM10-BD is the top one:

Anyways, I couldn't find much on the rails so I emailed Anderson and asked what rails would fit the rifle and they replied "any AR15 rail will fit".

After closer inspection by holding my AR15 up to it, the rail on the AM10-BD upper receiver looked higher than the rail on my AR15.  I decided to contact Anderson again and I said "the rail on the upper receiver looks taller than my AR15, is that correct?"  To which they replied "our receiver has a higher rail than an AR15"...

"Umm...OK...so what rail will fit?" was my next question, to which they replied "the rail height from the receiver threads to the top of the rail is 3/4".

At that point I figured it wasn't worth asking "DPMS low vs. high vs. AR10 vs..."

They did say the barrel nut is an AR-308 1-7/16"-16 TPI-2A ...which has me thinking this is probably a DPMS Low-profile receiver height.  Below are some pictures...what do you all think?

I know Lysanderxiii, but that piece on the AM10-BD is about 1/4" THICKER than the DPMS hogh profile height...so that measurement doesn't help me.  Trust me, I've been roaming around Google for a while now...

is there some other measurement that could tell me what I have?
