Isn't a problem to do....did a colt pattern one for a fellow locally on a QC10 small frame...........
The issue is going to be sourcing Olympic parts......I do have an Olympic 45 bolt that currently doesn't have a home, but will need to make or round up a barrel extension......Ejector is one of the few parts that can be ordered form Olympic.....and I can make the barrel no problem....what length do you have in mind..... After building a blowback in GAP...........just didn't see the need for a DI......recoil was insignificant with an 8 ounce buffer, unlike the 45ACP.......which is "spirited"

To each his own, I do not see the need for blowback.... Going DI I will be be using a standard 223 carrier, a standard 223 bolt opened for the .473 45 GAP rim and will use a standard 223 buffer spring. All parts easy to get (for now  )
I had a blowback 45 ACP and got rid of it after shooting a DI 45 ACP ( I shot both side by side for a comparison between them and the DI had less recoil. Which I think will be the same for the 45 GAP since it is a higher pressure cartridge then the 45 ACP it should run like a sewing machine .)
