Has anyone tried one of those 50 bmg upper for your ar-15?
If so what did you like about it or did not like about it?
thanks

Don't know a lot about them but I am not sure I would trust two small pins to hold a 50bmg together.....

Had one put together. I purchased a single shot lower from stubborn mule instead of the ar15 lower. It was a safety harbors upper. Nice setup. Ammo is not cheap unless you reload. Hardly any place to shoot it plus surgery on my back led me to sell it. If you can shoot it locally, get one. A blast to shoot. Just research which one to get. Zel, spider arms and safety harbors to name a few.

I recall there being a side fed bolt action version available from one manufacture, can't recall at the moment, I'm sure Google can find it.

Had a Watson single shot, worked just fine. The HUGE muzzle brake made recoil more like a push than a hit. If the cost of ammo is not an issue, just make sure you have a place to shoot it.

Check out the 50cal sub forum in the armory section. You will get more information than here. This is really for semiauto variants.
