Here are some pics of my rifle.  I went out shooing it Saturday, first time with the Geissele SSA; I just installed it last week.  The stock trigger on this was the worst mil-spec trigger I have used.  It was so gritty, and I could never tell when it was going to break.  What a world of difference a Geissele makes.  I had never shot a two stage trigger, or one this nice, so I want sure which one to get when I ordered it.  I think I am going to change the trigger out to a SD-E since this is more of a precision rifle so I can have a lower weight 2nd stage.  I am going to pur this SSA one of my AR15s.
I was getting 2-3" groups with ZQI ammo ($10/box 20)  I didnt break out my match ammo since I was letting a bunch of my friends shoot it.

This started out as A DPMS Oracle back in January.   Here are the build specs' details.

Luth AR MBA-3 Stock
Hogue Grip
BCM Mod 3 Charging Handle
Offset Iron Back up Sights
Geissele SSA Trigger (Now that I have shot it, going to change to a SD-E)

Replaced Upper with one from Alexandria Pro Fab
18" Stainless Melonite coated barrel
Mid Length Gas
Low Pro Gas Block
Freefloat 15" APF Handquard
UTG Tac-Op Bipod w/Quick Release Rail Mount

Glass:
Nikon 4-16x42 M308 BDC 800
Nikon M308 Mount

How do you like that luther butt stock? I needs something like that in the near future.

Yeah I have owned a couple of LR-308s and sell them in my store. I always told people that those guns have the worst triggers you will find in an AR. That was until I got an ArmaLite AR-10A in stock. That gun has a trigger pull of around 10 pounds as measured on the same scale I measure all the other guns with. Actually I don't really know what the pull is since the markings on the scale only go to 8 pounds and the indicated slides past that before the trigger breaks.

i really like it.  only thing is, when not extended the 7.62 charging handle wont come all the way back because of the cheek riser. .

Nice job on the rifle. I had a Oracle with intent to build it up but sold it. Still have the M308 which is on a bolt 308 now. Used a Burris PEPR mount to put a fastfire III on top for CQ.

I think I am going to add a adjustable gas block and a Kynshot buffer to help with recoil.  This thing feels over-gassed when I shoot it.  Idont know much about adjustable gas blocks, but would like one with distinct settings.  I will be shooting this suppressed sometimes once my form 4 clears.

I'm surprised to hear about the Armalite trigger.  The only .308 AR I have is an Armalite AR-10 carbine (B model) with a two-stage trigger.  I have always swapped out triggers in ARs, but the one in my AR-10 is one of the best triggers I've used.  I can't remember what the advertised pull weight is, but it's in the 2-4# range and I believe it.

I added a Kynshot buffer and a JP Adjustable Gas Block.  I still need to tune it but I am looking forward to better control.

I took it out last evening and dialed in the gas settings on the JP adjustable gas block.  It is a tamed beast now.  An entirely different experience.  I'm sold on adjustable gas blocks, that's for sure.  Now, all I feel is the recoil of the round, not the action slamming into the rear of the receiver extension violently.
