| I've read here that the mag catch bolt ends up being about 3/16" short on the dpms. I have that problem with a cmmg lpk on a dpms. Question, has any mfg addressed this problem and produced a mag release bolt that is longer? |

we had the same issue with an aero m5 build using ar 15 lower components the mag catch was to short we ended up
using a strike industrie's mag catch that we got off amazon for $15.95 shipped and it did the job ! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A1II192?refRID=THXRVMQJBYC4S3TA4BQW&ref_=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_3 |

there's a mag catch specific to the DPMS LR-308 large frame AR's, the threaded stud is longer than the normal mil-spec AR-15 part. about $10 + S&H, just the mag catch, no spring, no button. if you want to use the shorter AR-15 part, then you should use the extended mag button to make up for the length, this is how it's done for the Aero Precision M5 308. http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz300/rpol98/G%20and%20A/P1010942_zpszolu4dae.jpg So where did you obtain the longer mag catch? |

The reputable manufacturers who actually did engineering and design work on their rifles solved this decades ago. KAC ArmaLite LMT You can order from ArmaLite. |
