| I've read here that the mag catch bolt ends up being about 3/16" short on the dpms. I have that problem with a cmmg lpk on a dpms. Question, has any mfg addressed this problem and produced a mag release bolt that is longer? |

we had the same issue with an aero m5 build using ar 15 lower components the mag catch was to short we ended up

there's a mag catch specific to the DPMS LR-308 large frame AR's, the threaded stud is longer than the normal mil-spec AR-15 part. about $10 + S&H, just the mag catch, no spring, no button. if you want to use the shorter AR-15 part, then you should use the extended mag button to make up for the length, this is how it's done for the Aero Precision M5 308.
