Thanks for looking at this thread. I recently was lucky enough to pickup a KAC SR25 built in '93. I shot it for the first time over the weekend and needless to say the stock trigger is junk. I've been getting mixed messages about what I can and can not use as a trigger for the SR25. My question is will I be able to drop in say a RRA 2 stage or will I need the KAC 2 stage. I'm looking to NOT have to do any machine work on either the receiver or the trigger.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

In 93 KAC still used the thin hammer coupled with the thinner opening for the hammer on the bcg itself.
No mods will need to be done, but you'll need to find a specific trigger for the older SR25. I'm not too sure where you can get them now, as both KAC and Armalite have switched to the standard ar15 trigger. Someone else will post better info soon. |

It will fit, but the hammer will not be able to strike the firing on.
Best way to tell is post a pic of the underside of the bcg. That will answer all questions regarding triggers. Is possible its been updated with a newer bcg. Just found this, not good news. pre-ban sr25 trigger You actually might need to modify the lower. |
