Recently purchased a DPMS LR 308 Sportical.  I like the rifle as its been reliable and accurate.  The only thing I'd care to change now is the safe/fire selector switch is really easy to move between safe and fire positions.  Anything I can do to create more resistance required to move the safety selector switch? Thanks

Is the pin engaging?

If it is, but still moves very easy, replace the spring engaging the pin in the pistol grip.

yes the pin is engaging.  I'll replace the spring as you suggested, thanks

could be the hole in the pistol grip is too deep.  if so, you could try a very short spacer in the bottom of that hole to shim the spring up, or swap out the grip, try one of the AR-15 A2 pistol grips laying over there in your stash box.

Agree on checking the hole depth in the grip.

Had an A2 grip, swapped it on the rifle, almost no detent/pressure. Swapped the Magpul grip back on it, normal.
