I know it's personnel preference and I am going to sound dumb. Prs or ubr? Can you use an ar-15 stock on an ar-10? Same buffer tubes and springs? Thanks

I have had both the PRS and the UBR and and both are really nice.

The PRS uses a standard tube but not you will need the buffer and spring for an AR-10/LR-308. The PRS for the AR-10 has a shorter comb than the one for the AR-15 to allow for the longer charging handle.

The UBR uses a proprietary tube that come with the stock. You will need a carbine buffer and spring for the AR-10 platform. Check a heavy buffer from Slash.

Both stocks are on the heavier side, which is/was ok for me as mine went onto rifles that are pretty stout. I ended up going with the PRS on both my Creedmoor and Grendel as I wanted the bit more adjustment available on the PRS. The PRS's are both AR-15 and AR-10 versions and I have checked the dimensions mentioned and they are different.

The lockup on the UBR was awesome and the stock itself was very comfortable. I originally used the UBR on my Grendel, but then switched to the PRS. I liked it so much that by the time I started my Creedmoor project the decision to stick with the PRS was already made.

I'd say try both if you can before buying. I went with the PRS just because of my preference, but would not hesitate to have another UBR.

Guessing you're using your rifle for more precision type stuff?  If so go with the PRS.
