| Im heading to the local pawn store to order a Armalite DEF 10 for $959 today. I wanted to see if anyone owned a DEF10 and had any imput on the gun and perhaps any advice on any upgrades/parts I should or need to get.. I haven't got to hold one myself, only read reviews and seen pictures. Thanks |

They used to make all their own triggers, but I'm not 100% on these. When i toe mine down, i don't recall seeing their specific markings on the trigger or hammer like on the 2 stage one in my ar15. However, i wasn't looking for it. Handguards are where you'll run into some confusion. They have a different barrel nut thread, and not everyone offers an Armalite barrel nut. However, this limits you to the better mfgs making handguards. |

Handguard options are a pain to source if you need a free float picatinny rail but otherwise more popular current options (MLOK, Keymod) are more available by excellent manufacturers. Armalite's new keymod rails are actually priced very well and the design is well thought out. I wish geissele would make a rail for the Armalite! |

I initially went this route for mine too, the 9" version. Just sits in the parts box now. Decided I wanted a 15" handguard so I went with the armalite tac 15. I'm not a fan of keymod but those are the breaks these days. I wish DD and Larue still made armalite AR10 handguards.
