I'd like to use the same bullet both in a 300 and also a 308.
Just 50 yard plinking. Any suggestions? |

| Been using 147 FMJ bullets from Widener's reloading..........also use Hornady 150 grain flat base spire point bullets as well..........Incidently this is the same bullet they use in their American Whitetail ammunition. Both bullets work fine in my 300BLK and PA10 |

But some people say that 110 grain .30 Carbine FMJs "won't feed in a 300 Blackout. Except that mine did in my gun. I think this sort of thing is going to be unique to each gun, magazine and probably a few other factors. It's worth a try. I would try out the Xtreme bullets before buying a bunch - but I don't shoot enough .30-30 to warrant buying 500 bullets in case they don't work out. Missouri Bullets' 248gr .309 bullets that are intended for 300 Blackout have a very similar nose profile to the Xtreme bullets, so I'm thinking they might just work... |

Ive thought about trying the 110gr but I just dont have time to screw around with them, and trying to get them working. People have gotten some crazy stuff to work with mag mods, cutting longer feed ramps, etc. I just dont have the time. I do want to get some of the 120gr from Highborn. They are plated, but will be fine for 300 BO. Not good for 308, unless you really download them. 2000 FPS max from what I understand. |
