| I have an Armalite AR-10B lower, I want an upper. What websites etc make these!? I'm mostly used to seeing LR-308 custom builds... |

It is really easy to put together. Some handguards cone with the necessary barrel wrench.
As long as you you use a 10b upper receiver you can use any matching bolt and barrel. Armalite/Armalite, DPMS/DPMS... Honestly, some factory ARMALITE uppers are pretty darn accurate. Or--Call GAP OR JP. They will be your best options. It doesn't cost that much more to do it right. Beware of BUBBA. |
| At this point, i think only Elk Creek Mfg is making uppers besides armalite. I don't know anything about them besides they offer Armalite pattern receivers, complete and 80%. I cannot speak about the quality, I've never used them, was going to use them to build on, but then the Def10 came out. Made more sense for me to buy that, and go from there. |

These .308 AR's have so many proprietary issues going on in some cases, it gets sketchy to start mixing and matching brands and models like you can do with most of the AR15 platforms. I have a pair of Armalite "B" models, and I've switched barrels, handguards, and minor components, but I've had to be very careful to insure that everything was compatible. It's just not the same as working with milspec AR15 guns. |
