I have never built a 308 before.  From what I can tell, the buffer tube assembly on an A2 rifle is the same for ar15 as 308?  That is all I can find and this seems to be the case putting 2 and 2 together.  But since this is my first 308 go round I wanted to get some clarification.  12.75" spring and 5.4oz buffer?  Thanks in advance.   Also take any links to any kits, I see Joebobs and brownells has them in stock, unless I am barking up the wrong tree here.

No. The buffer tube is the same length but the 308 BCG is longer. So 308 buffers need to be shorter. Make sure you buy a 308 specific buffer and spring. Just go to Brownells and search 308 buffer and spring.

This is a fantastic spring for the .308

I don't have a Sprinco 308 yet but only because my 308 is fairly new.  I have or eventually will replace all of my no-name springs with Sprincos.
