Hey everyone,  I am looking to see if anyone has the AR10 Vice Jaws from ArmaLite laying around that I might be able to borrow or buy off of you.

My brother has asked me to change out the handgaurd on his S&W M&P10 and so I am wanting to do this right and not mess up anything on his rifle.  I am hoping to borrow one from one of yall since I probably will never need to use it again.  I will pay for shipping both to me and back to you and will sign a guarantee for its return and being undamaged.

Let me know if you can help.

Thanks,
Eric

Here, you can have this one, free of charge.  Don't worry about sending it back...

Hm... that looks fairly simple!  I take it those are just two poly blocks sandwiched between the receiver and the vice?  No problem with anything folding, squeezing, or just otherwise damaging the upper?

It should work fine, but I would scoot the barrel nut as close to the vice as possible to minimize the amount of unsupported receiver.

If you have access to a AR-15 DPMS Claw, it will fit into a .308 upper receiver. Use that as the bottom piece with the method shown above. Has worked great for me so far.

Just don't insert the pins through the TD and Pivot pin lugs, unless you want to loosen the fit.  I hate that tool with a passion.  Doesn't seem to be as much of an issue with 7075 T6 uppers, but it sure is with 6061.

Right, don't use the pins or use the tool as DPMS instructs. Use as pictured above.

I remember taking that picture, so many years ago.
