Ok folks I have all my 5.56 AR's built that I need.  I now want to build a precision AR10. Im looking at the Mega Arms upper and lower set to start with unless there is a better set out there.
I'm the type who likes to assemble my own builds when possible. I'm a mechanic by trade so it compels me to put my hands on it and see how it works.
I need to know the best barrel on the market for this application.
BCG ect...
Lend me your suggestion and thoughts.

The Mega Set is an OUTSTANDING base...maybe the best out there.  What ever you do, get a GOOD BCG such as Young ( if you can find one ), CMMGs latest offering, etc.  Also, critical to safety, get your barrel WITH a matched bolt OR make sure you can have someone headspace check your setup.

Here's my last build:

Mega matched 308 set

CMMG BCG ( but using a JP bolt matched to a JP barrel )

APEX handguard

Harris bipod on YHM mount

American Defense zero MOA mount w/ Leupold MK IV scope ( 6.6 to 20 power, 30mm tube )

Surefire Brake ( excellent brake...but loud, of course )

PRS stock

CMMG 308 LPK

and......of course....

Geissele SSA-E trigger

I am still working on the optical interface ( I am not used to scoped ARs yet ) but when I do everything right this gun will easily outshoot my abilities.

LOL...by the way...we're in the wrong forum...we should be in the AR Variants section.

THOUGH my build does have some ArmaLite parts such as the receiver extension...and my next build may include an Armalite 10A upper with forward assist...which should be pretttty cool if I can pull it off....gonna be a squeaker!!!!

My Armalite AR10A costed less and most likely shoots better than that Mega.
