I have a Mega MaTen upper/ower set and i am wondering if i can build this to be a 338 win mag / federal / lapua. Are there parts for this type of build and if so can someone direct me to where i would find them.
Thanks

It's not long enough for those cartridges, it will accept .308 Winchester length cartridges or shorter.

ETA: That should read: 'It's not long enough for the .338 Mag or Lapua Mag.'

Reading comprehension FTW.

It will accept 338 Federal.... No problem and I've been considering building one.

well i got onto Federals website and after looking at the ballistics its actually not worth it to do a 338 federal, the 308 has better ballistics

It really depends on the purpose of the build. Up to 300 yards the .338 federal will pack more of punch than 308.

Yep 338 FEDERAL is a pretty heavy hitter under 300 and definitely lays the smack down at 100 yds.
