....does anyone make them?  Im trying to cover the hidious pin holes from an original front site post.  Also, when removing the fsp and adding gas block, do you mount the new gas block up against the shoulder where barrel od slightly upsizes?? Thanks.

JP makes a few adjustable gas blocks that will cover the whole seat for the front sight.

Unfortunately none of them mount from the bottom.  I cant access the cross bolts through my quad rail.

I didn't realize that either LaRue or Midwest made adjustable blocks; do you have a link?

OP, another option would be to find a gas block you like that mounts the way you need it to, then have it drilled/tapped for the adjustment screw.

I don't see where they are adjustable and extended.  Also, does the gas block mount up against shoulder of barrel or do I need to offset slightly?  Thanks.

a wee bit of JB weld and black paint. Will hide the pin holes.

Check with Battle Tested Equipment for your GB needs. George usualy has something available or will make you a custiom block at an extremely reasonable price.  Clamp on or set screw your choice

Our patented, tool-less, modular adjustable gas block is made to the same milspec length as a front sight block.

It is currently the only tool less adjustable gas block on the market that uses a standard unmodified gas tube.
With this design, you can adjust the regulator plate when hot and just
use a bullet tip to move the plate.  In addition, you can feel the plate
in complete darkness to know what position it is set to by feel.

Below are some links to a new two part article that came out this week
on the MicroMOA Govnah that covers the background and Govnah solution
and testing quite well - all with RoF informatioin.
Part1
http://www.recoilweb.com/micromoas-govnah-adjustable-gas-block-38489.html
Part 2
http://www.recoilweb.com/micromoas-govnah-adjustable-gas-block-pt-2-of-2-38639.html

You can see that the Govnah is based on actual port sizes from NO port
to whatever you want to drill.  In the event that your barrel is
overgassed and you don't want to run suppressed, I personally would have
1 port match your barrel's gas port which would be your adverse
position (for use when dirty or using weak ammo) and you would also use
that to install/align the block for installation then work your way up to a port size that locks your bolt
back on the other port for optimal unsuppressed.
Then use the 3rd position for suppressed use.

Or use a two position if you just want suppressed and max gas.

Regarding you question about putting the gas block right on the shoulder of the barrel, there should be a gap for the handguard cap....but with our design, we have an alignment hole at the top of the block to guarantee perfect alignment as seen in the picture below:

Just put the shank of a bit through the alignment hole, then regulator plate then port in the barrel then secure the screws and you are done.  No guess work.

This is the only block on the market that has an alignment hole - which is also patented.

You need to measure the gas port location in relation to the gas blocks port. That way when you place it you know where the hole in in the GB and the barrel is and can eaily match them up. Once instaled fire a few rounds to test function. Once you have shot enough to build up some carbon, you can remove the block again and see if the holes were much off center. That part really only demends if you have some functionality issue or if you don't tink your measurements were spot on.

Apparently my reading comprehension sucks. I just saw "cover the holes" and posted. Sorry.
