I might have a chance of purchasing an MWS chassis. I really like the quick change barrel feature, as well as the monolithic rail. Other than LMT or KAC (and I've also heard Larue), what lower receivers is this compatible with that is realistically available without having to buy a complete gun? The 7.62/.308 world or ARs is confusing with all the different variations. |

armalite "A" series, rugar i believer, maybe mega, not sure what else at the moment? the thing with 308 AR's is that yes things are a little confusing and the DPMS radiused cut receiver is the most common pattern available, but unlike ar15's your really not going to be building a second gun with the purchase of a high end complete upper.
for example you can get an stripped ar15 lower and pick up a Knights, Noveske, LMT,or whoever upper and really not have have any drop off from buying a factory gun, with 308's the higher end 308 manufactures are not selling there uppers so your left with complete builds. that's not to say you cant build an awesome rifle. I have an MWS and its angled receivers would not prevent me from doing a dpms pattern receiver set. |
