I'm kicking around the idea of building an AR pistol in 300 blk, but I don't know a thing about it.
Is there an "all you need to know" thread running around anywhere? |

300blktalk.com is a good starting place. My .02.
If you plan on doing a pistol or SBR, then you have half of it right! You also need to go silenced. If you dont have one, the time is now to get a can. The 300 was made to run short barreled suppressed. And while you are at it, reload or go home! Good luck OP |

| I see people talking about 300 BLK being hard to find or paying over a buck a round! Oh! Reload is where its at for this caliber. Make what you want when you want and don't even think of paying that much for ammo! There is a lot of info out there on DIY 300 ammo. Take a little time and look around, you will see what you need. Its not expensive to get into if you are not currently reloading. Again, if you are new to it read, research, learn all you can. The key is paying attention to detail and follow proper procedures. Been doing it for many years and tens of thousands of rounds....only way to go. |

Good luck OP What he said Thanks guys, looks like I'll be spending some time at 300blktalk.com. I've been wanting to build an AR pistol for a while, but .223 out of a 7.5 just seems underwhelming & thought the 300 blk might just be the way to go. And yes, with any luck a can will be in my future. I've been reloading since my teens so I should be gtg there. I watched a couple of youtube videos on forming 300 brass & it didn't seem too complicated. |
