I am thinking of upgrading the BCG in my CMMG 308 and I have found two that are comparable in price but are different manufactures which one would you go with?

Shadow Ops BCG Rainer Arms BCG I know the search sucks.... The Rainier was (for a time) a poorly machined bolt that several here were pretty unhappy with. The Shadow Ops is very, very nice. |

Why are you upgrading your BCG to one that is basically the same thing? Is there an issue with functionality?

Well my suggestion is to not bother. For the most part NIB is a BS coating in most cased it is poorly applied and wears off. It also gets gummy when you get the bolts and carriers super hot. On the lower end BCG's they don't head space correctly because the coating is too thick. My suggestion is get a JP bolt and carrier if you an upgrade. JP doesn't sell anything with NIB, KAC and LMT use hard chrome and NP3 coated parts.

I have NIB BCG's in every other rifle but this one and I like how easy they are to clean but other than that you are correct my current BCG works fine |
