A friend sent me this photo and ask me if this is built on an AR Platform. At first I said yes then looked at where the stock attaches to the lower and now I am not sure. I know what kind of friend just sends a pix and no other info. Any clues? Also is the probably a Cerakote paint job?

The rifle is similar to the SR-25/Mk 11 Mod 0, but differs significantly in buttstock and rail system design. The SR-25, Mk 11 Mod 0, and M110 are based loosely on the original AR-10 developed by Eugene Stoner but feature additional refinements instituted by KAC to maximize parts commonality with the AR-15 design, improve weapon reliability, and increase accuracy.

No wonder I didn't recognize it. Ironically Knights Armanent is in Titusville which is about 50 miles due east of me. Spikes Tactical is 8 miles from my house and Core is 30 miles North of me. Aero precision is in Daytona which is 45 miles away. That was a little off subject but I am amazed how many AR companies are in Florida. After you told me what this rifle is I looked on gunbroker and couldn't find one. Any idea NUC what price range this Rifle is in? We don't have many outside gun ranges anymore so it would be a little hard to shoot this rifle except on private party.

Or you could build a DPMS LR-308 pattern in 308 Win./ .260 Rem. with upgraded Barrel, Trigger, BCG, Rail , Scope, B-P, for well less than half that price
and be just as accurate maybe even more so the the KAC SR-25 and it uses the same 308 Pmags/SR-25 mags.

JMHO, YMMV.

I cannot believe the asking cost of the rifle.  It may be accurate, it may be military and it may be collectable.  But, there is a sucker born every day.  EXAMPLE?  Sorry - off topic.
