So I got my Syrac clamp on adjustable gas block installed. I  then attached a piece of urethane tubing to the end of the gas tube in the receiver to make sure I could push air through the tube into the barrel.  Check, everything is fine.  Then I tried to close the gas block off the way by driving the set screw in as far as it goes.  Blew through the hose again and there is no change in resistance.  I know air is going to the block into the barrel because if I plug the chamber with my thumb all I hear is air going out the barrel.  Seems like there should be a much larger change in resistance since your lungs can only generate a couple PSI and the gas system will see much higher pressures than that.

Any thoughts?

You need to adjust the set screw and tune the block by firing the firearm in an appropriate location/manner with live ammunition and not rely on perceived air resistance.

The DI system is not air tight enough for change to be noticed on the pressure being generated by mouth, it is designed to work on massive pressure.

Not just that, most adjustable block are not mean to fully shut off the gas. At least my JP Enterprise  setscrew gas block is not.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on how this worked out.

The gas block had issues.  There was no change in flow resistance wherever the set screw was.  Jason at Syrac immediately sent me a new one on him.  With this one there is a significant difference when blowing through the tube with the gas block closed vs. open.  While it wasn't entirely sealed, I had to blow pretty hard to get any appreciable amount of flow.  I shot with the "bad" gas block and was able to tune the gas system and even get the bolt to not lock back, but I know you could never shut the gas system off entirely.

Thanks to Jason at Syrac for being available and helping me out.
