Is the firing pin for a 5.45 x 39 AR bolt different than a 5.56?

Postal answered the question asked, perfectly right.

There can be a difference in firing pin protrusion though due to the bolt face depths that are used.
There are 2 different depth cuts that I am aware of, so headspace is affected (and so is protrusion of firing pin).

Sorry if this may not be part of your question, but can be related.

It may be related.  I'm planning on using a Ballistic Advantage 5.45 bolt and a 5.56 firing pin.  Wanted to make sure it would work.

That should be a perfect match I'm still waiting on a Ballistic Advantage bolt for one 5.45 build.

Been waiting on mine since the beginning of April.  I ordered RGun's NIB carrier etc. at the same time to finish it off.  Should have it together by next Christmas.

I haven't heard many people happy with rguns lately, they are getting a lot of shit for their service. I hope you get your order soon

Rguns charged my CC so it looks like they will come through before BA.

I order from Rguns on occasion.  They always come through and have good products, just be prepared to wait.
