Starting a DPMS pattern 308 build, with a Sun Devil lower.
Opinions on collapsible stock / buffer / buffer tube combinations would be appreciated!

Why not go Magpul PRS? IMO, that's the best LR-308 stock.

good choice, but I am also referring to buffer tubes and buffer's specifically those combinations that will work together since I believe that the buffer itself is shorter?
Using PRS what tube and buffer are the best combo?

I use an A2 buffer tube with the Magpul MOE rifle length stock. I have a factory built LR308 so I can't tell you what kind of buffer or spring it is. If you want pictures I can post some.

Go to this link and scroll down the page, you can get either the DPMS 308 carbine buffer and spring or the DPMS 308 rifle buffer and spring:

If you want a collapsible stock I'd look at the Magpul ACS for starters (mil-spec version with a mil-spec buffer tube).

The fixed MOE rifle-length is also a great option (that's what I have on mine), you'll need the standard A1/A2 buffer tube for it.

I have a sopmod on mine with DPMS carbine buffer and the springco 308 carbine Xp spring.
The sopmod is great and very good on rifles with optics cheek weld is superb.

Post some pictures if you can, thank you

Where I am at now is that I know the buffer has to be shorter, the 3.25 version when using a standard ar-15 tube, in conjunction with a 308 spring, the Vltor tube is a no go since the ID depth is 7.25 versus the the standard 7".So where I am at is probably going with a slash buffer and spring, and then standard tube with yet an undecided stock.
Possibly the sopmod stock which another poster mentioned, or the PRS but that requires a different setup.
Thanks for all the advice

Actually went with a ERGO F93 PRO AR-15 Stock - 8 position collapsible, and a slah buffer and spring today.
What do you guys think?

I personally don't like the ergo, but its a solid choice.

My Bushmaster with a Magpull SRT

I changed over to a std. Mil-spec buffer tube.

My DPMS With ACS.

Both great stocks. I would upgarde to a mil-spec buffer tube. If you do not have one at present. More stock options.

I'm running the ACS-L on my AP4.  The cheek weld is a huge improvement over the CTR.  I'm really liking it so far.  It's like a 1/4 lb heavier than the CTR, but I think it's worth it.
