[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bi-pod recommendations?

I am wanting to get a bipod for my S&W M&P-10 .308, but I don't have any experience with bipods. I have no idea what is good and what is not. I also don't know what size to get. If someone could speed me up on bipods I would appreciate it. I do not want to spend a boat-load of money, but I want something that is sturdy and reliable. Thanks for any help!

Need an adapter/mount. Numerous ones available, both QD and non-QD. YHM, ADM, LaRue, etc...

I'm running a Harris 6-9" on a Larue quick disconnect mount, it pops off in a second and has a very soild lockup. I use it on every rifle I have with a rail.

harris like noted above for the best of the cheap ones. Atlas is argued to be the best overall but a good bit more expensive. I have and like the harris, but contemplating the atlas for my 308.
