Help me pick a Geissele trigger for my MATEN build. There are so many options its confusing ...i'm getting a headache  just reading through all of them on thier website. Rifle will be a range gun with 18"  barrel  if that helps ....

I have an SSA and 2 SD-C triggers. I prefer the flat trigger of the SD-C.

I tend to agree with this.
The 2-stage is nice for precise shots, but when hammering on close targets you don't even notice that it's a 2-stage trigger.  I'm putting one in all of my current ARs.

SD3G on one rifle, SSA-E on two others. Flat bow on the SD3G makes it so the trigger feels the same no matter what your finger position is. SSA-E is a GREAT trigger for blasting or bench. Just my opinion...

I will be a little different and say SD-E. I run an SSA, a G2S and a SD-E.

The SSA is on our SPR build, the G2s is on my HD carbine, and the SD-E is on my Noveske .308. I really like the flat blade on the trigger and the perceived lighter trigger pull is really nice for those precise shots.

I have a Giessele in one of my rifles and a skeletonized Timney single stage in the other. I prefer the Timney one. If you haven't looked at that one yet, check it out. I don't like all that movement and no bang. I want the trigger to break like the proverbial "Glass Rod" and no extra movement.  I know you didn't ask for other options. I just thought I would give that info knowing I have used them both side by side.

This or a SD-C. My wife runs the SSA-E in her DD rifle and all mine run the SD-C. I prefer the flat trigger but Her SSA-E is a great trigger as well

I'm thinking about trying a SDE  I like the flat trigger. I currently use SD3G's in most of my rifles.

Thanks guys for your input.... will probably go SSA-E ....not really into the flat triggers although I've never tried either.

You made a good choice with the SSA-E. I prefer the standard style trigger also.

I've got the SDE in my MATEN and I love it. I thought the flat trigger would be a little off putting, and it is at first. But once you get accustomed to it, there is nothing better IMO.

DMR.   Never got used to single stage triggers.

Can't get used to the light second stage of the servive and match rifle triggers.

I've got a High Speed NM on my SASS build and it is a VERY nice two stag trigger. If you are looking to shoot precision, this is a great choice. If it is for more tactical work, I would suggest a different trigger. That said, I am buying another for a varmint AR that I've built in .204 ruger...
