I picked up an LR-308 lower yesterday (just the shell, no components) and I am beginning to put together my list of what I'll need to build this gun up.  I looked through the FAQ section and I didn't see any mention of being able to use the standard AR wrench to assemble an AR10.  More specifically, can I use my generic AR wrench to tighten down the barrel nut on my AR10?

While I'm here, is it cheaper to buy the AR15 lower kit (grip, trigger, springs, pins, etc.) or piece it together?  Some of the components I plan on upgrading anyways (like the grip) and I'd rather not spend the many on duplicate parts if I can help it.

I just used my gen state armory tool on a dpms 308 and it worked fine.

Depends on what hand guard/ barrel nut you end up with.  Most will be too large for an AR15 wrench.

Email Gem State   __ I think they have heads (adapters) for the large frame barrel nuts available for their excellent armorer's wrench.
