I noticed a friend brought one to the range. I did not get a chance to look closely at it but a question came up if anyone knows the answer. Will a reguler AR-15 single point sling attachmanet fit on the DPMS AR-10 stock tube (collapsible stock version)?

Thank You

Armalite makes the AR-10.  DPMS makes the LR-308.

There is no socket built into the DPMS receiver like the SIG if that is what you mean.  If you mean the tube, it is close.  Mine is an A2 stock now.  So, I cannot remember.

Thank You,  I did not get a close look at it but I remember seeing the castle nut at the base of the tube. We were wondering if the single point sling adapters would fit on one of them. We didn;t have it to look at again. I know the guy and that he wanted to accessorize it.  I like 308's, might go that route some time.

I love mine.  People say bad things about DPMS, but mine is awesome.  It is listed in the MOA all day thread.

If I understand what you mean, you are asking if the buffer tubes are the same size to put a sling attachment on it. Then yes, they should be the same and work fine.

Yes the adapter back plates as well as bolt on units well work just fine. I will recommend one that has the sling mount in the middle with out the wings though. It makes clearing stubborn jams much easier.
