So I APOLOGIZE already- I know this question has been asked a thousand times- but I don't know what the True answer is.

I've got an 18" CMMG MK3 (.308) (midlength)

It currently has the stock mil spec buffer tube and what appears to be a standard carbine buffer and spring.

I WANT A PRS on it!

What all do I need to convert it. Will my buffer and spring work with the PRS?
Can I get by using a standard PRS (for ar15) ?
Do I need an A2 rifle buffer along with the PRS, or is it like the UBR and includes the buffer tube?

Thanks Gents (and ladies?)

This is covered in the FAQ's for .308 AR's.

Yes, you need a totally different AR10 rifle buffer to work with the rifle-length receiver extension tube.

Yes, you need a totally different AR10 rifle spring, which is not the same as an AR15 rifle spring.

No, an AR15 PRS will not work with an AR10 action, at least the cheek piece will not be able to be adjusted, and that is the most advantageous/useful feature on the PRS for setting up your eye-to-optic line of sight and solid cheek weld on your maxillary bone.  You need an AR10-specific PRS, which has a shorter comb to allow the charge handle to retract fully.

An AR15 PRS will impede an AR10 charge handle range of function.  Only way around this rule is a side-charger.

the reason for the need to purchase the AR-10 PSR is clear.  the distance between the charging handle and the cheek pad is longer in the AR-10.
The distance between the red marking on my gun.  Hope this helps.

I currently have the buffer that came in my MK3 adjustable buffer tube- will that same one work in the rifle buffer tube, or do I need a different length spring.
