Anyone on here have one of these?

I found out that the bolt and barrel is CMMG and the FF handguard is similar to a hogue (but made by LAR). I have searched and could only find reviews from the owner of joebobs but I could not find anyone complaining about them. |

i have not shot one but thinking about getting one also to match my other lar uppers. tony Same here. I love the OPS-4 I used for my 7.62x39. I have been corresponding with the folks at LAR. I have found out that the ones with the receiver marked OPS-4 are billet and are just modified OPS-4 receivers. The current one is marked OPS-22 instead of OPS-4 on the receiver and it is forged instead of billet. That's the one I am going to get my hands on. I have also confirmed that the receiver threads are mil spec so the handguard/barrel nut can be swapped out. I intend to swap out the barrel and handguard and swap on a Kies 18" barrel and hogue FF tube so it matches my other one perfectly. I will pick up an inexpensive upper receiver and sell the Kies bolt, CMMG barrel, and LAR handguard as a complete upper to offset my cost. |
