I recently purchased (from the Armalite website) an Armalite AR-10 complete lower receiver with 2 stage trigger collapse stock etc.. I really would like my AR-10 build to have a side charging BCG on it.. I found a nice looking one at the American Spirit Arms website. Does anybody know if the ASA upper is compatible with the Armalite lower? And if not, does Armalite make one? Or, if I just ordered a nice upper from Armalite, is there any way I can modify it myself to make it side charging? Any help appreciated guys.. Thanks for your time! God bless..

Actually, I did call them, and they never answer their phones. I've tried calling them 3 times this past week and left 3 different voicemails with no reply. So I resorted to this site. How about I re phrase my question and let's forget the entire side charging upper topic:
Which upper receivers (besides Armalite), would be compatible with my lower receiver? I've searched for about 2 hours now with no results. I found a few threads on ASA and their previous owner and how terrible they used to be, and I found other threads that asked similar questions but all ended up trolling on other subjects. Again, Any help is appreciated.. if you know the amswer to my question please help, if not, keep your comments to yourself.. |

2.Can DPMS/POF/KAC/RRA/ Larue Tactical upper be put on Armalite lowers NO-see pics below. The only uppers that can be put on Armalite lowers are Noveske, Eagle Arms, or Armalite witht the "45" cut on the upper reciver vs the "rounded" DPMS style reciever . The new (11/08) LT uppers are based off the Kac design and the pins will not work even though the upper has the "45" style upper. |
