Who is known to make the most accurate 6.5 Grendel for shots out to 800 yards or better.  Looking to get a high performance upper and leave nothing on the table. Would like a 24" barrel length that is capable of STUPID accuracy - any suggestions?

I just had mine built by Loki Weapons and it's beautiful. They got a recent magazine write up that talked about their amazing accuracy. Unfortunately I've yet to shoot mine, still searching for the perfect optic,  so I can't comment on my own experience. It might be worth looking into for you though.  Good luck.

I built a .264 LBC at 24" using a Satern barrel, super accurate

I like the Neptune 7 with the Lilja barrel.

AA, Templar, JP, Precision Firearms, and Loki all make great rifles with high-end barrels.

The barrel will be the biggest factor in accuracy of course.

There are some other Grendel/7.62x39-sized case specific issues with regards to the barrel extension that need to be accounted for, since we're snapping the extractor over a larger case head diameter in a barrel extension that was designed around the .222 Remington cartridge.

I recently learned that all extensions are not created equal, and lower-end extensions, while fine for .223, often don't work with cartridges that use a larger case dia.  It doesn't make sense to thread a high-end, cut-rifled barrel costing over $400, to a $4 barrel extension.

A common malf is for the cartridge to go partially into battery, with no obvious reason as to why it isn't chambering fully, especially when oriented in-line with the bore.  The extractor is getting hung-up on the teeth of the barrel extension as it tries to snap over the extractor groove.  The internal diameter of the teeth isn't a perfect circle after the heat treat on the low-end barrel extensions.

I have a Neptune V on the way from Precision Firearms. When it gets here, I plan on taking it to the range to break it in, and then hopefully get myself involved in some sort of competitive long range shooting.

I'll post back with a range report.

Do a little research on Black Hole Weaponry polygon 264LBC barrels. The BHW barrels have super tight tolerances and will, in my opinion, provide the same level of accuracy as anyone of those other high end cut rifling barrels.

LW bbls are very good for their class, a mass produced bbl. Absolutely nothing wrong with them and certainly above average for that type of fabrication method.

The others however, are really custom bbls with various types of cutting used to produce the rifling and then hand finished. They don't cost the same either.....
