| I built a AR308 from a kit ,I am tring to upgrade the free float handguard from the heavy alum handle to a carbon fiber handguard. I purchased a DPMS carbon fiber kit for the 308 and cannot install the barrel nut from the kit unto my upper. Is there differant a thread pitch used on the uppers ? I can start the nut but it only goes on a few threads. And where can i purchase another barrel nut . The kit is built on a DPMS lR308 lower . |

You can't mix and match on this part. |

I am not sure who,s receiver it is. I purchased the kit from Blackthorneproducts.com they had 2 kits one for DPMS lower and One for Armalite lower. I got the one for the DPMS. The free float tubes they sell have 1 7/16"x18 threads Do yourself a favor and do a search on here for Blackthorne. They're a pretty shady company with less than ideal quality control. I would try to get your money back and go elsewhere. |
