I just finished assembling my 300 Blk upper and found I have an issue. I went through the normal function check and everything seemed to fine until I cycled a few live rounds. With the first two rounds the BCG locked into battery and the round ejected fine. The third round, bolt completely locked up and would not come out of battery. I had to use a lot of force on the charging handle for the bolt to unlock and eject the round. I tried another bolt with the same round and the same thing happened. I went through the box of 20 rounds and had the same issues with 8 additional round. The upper is built with an 8'' Noveske barrel & ST NiB BCG. The ammo is Gunn 125gr supersonic.
Any thought's or suggestions?

Could be too thick necks on the brass. Gunn is reloads I think made from cut down 223 brass. Tight chambers have trouble chambering the lake city brass some times. You might try taking a piece of emory paper and sanding the case neck a little. I do this to my reloads sometimes when 1 doesnt want to chamber. Modst of the time it will work. Also when using cut down LC 223 if you dont deburr the case mouth it will leave a small lip which will cause a tight neck condition. The emory paper makes short work if the lip. Just my experience with mine..........DV............

Thanks for the insight, it was an ammo issue. I went over the brass and noticed the case mouths do have burr's. I also have five rounds in which the bullet move's back and fourth in the case. I got lucky and found some Hornady 300 whisper locally this morning for a test fire. Everything checked out, test fire was a success!
I'll try out the emory paper on the additional round.
I really appreciate the help DV :-)
