JP Handguard & Geissele match trigger from the National Defense Match. Registered SBR lower with Magpul furniture. Vortex red dot, Gemtech Trinity 9mm can with 5/8-24 adapter. (Yes, before the haters hate- I called Gemtech and they said for subsonic use only it's fine) Nice setup. I have a Trinity also that I plan on using whenever I get a .300 Blackout setup. I also asked Gemtech if the Trinity would hold up and got the same answer. It works great, I recommend it! Here's a video- My kid shot the video so the quality is a little rough- CORE15 barreled SBR 300 Blackout video Also, about the threads- I use Muzzloader anti-seize on the different Trinity adapters... |

I'm not sure how he does it exactly, but he starts with a FDE or FG colored magazine and "prints" it with some sort of masking compound, then dyes them black. He can do just about any graphic that you can find. The one pictured was a small run he did for a local gun shop. The flag is on one side and the shop's logo is on the other. I have a stack of FDE mags and a good idea for a 300BLK graphic, so I'll probably have him do a bunch of them for me. ETA: Here is his website - http://www.abreoncustom.com/Home_Page.php |

It's a Savage bolt gun. It was originally a 22-250 and I had Mike Klos at Amer Mfg make it for me. Put a 16 inch barrel, green Cerakote, currently wearing a Leopold scope that's a little too much, it was for the 22-250. Running a XXX can. Sounds great. I couldn't be happier. I'll add an AR upper one of these days. Don't know if I'll get a 16 inch or a shorty for the RR M16. Seems kind of pointless to blast away suppressed with the M16. Probably just get a 16 in upper, have it threaded and use it to deer hunt, etc.

Sorry I didn't answer above, don't have any feeding issues. YMMV? It could a rumor in the bolt gun community started by those who religiously shoot subs from their 762 NATO cartridges. If anything, it is a small portion of them, so the YMMV almost positively applies here. All I can think, is short case, heavy front end could nose down easier in some actions. |

Great looking weapon system you have there, I'm in the process of building a 300 blk myself...

Great photos in this thread!
What I really want to see though, is an 8" 300BLK with a Mini Surefire or AAC suppressor with a report on how it sounds with subsonics. |

This is my mini4 in 5.56 on my Noveske 8" 300blk. No I don't shoot it like this just a pic. http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd473/foxjordan22/1326753776.jpg Sweet, thanks man - looks very maneuverable. I would like to get my 300BLK with a suppressor just a smidgen shorter, but since I'm already invested in an SDN-6, I'll probably leave it that way. |
|
|
I hear ya. I have the mini4 for a 10" SCAR. With 5.56 suppressed its going to be loud no matter what suppressor is on it that's why I like the mini4 it's shorter lighter and still suppresses well. But in 300blk with the option of subsonic ammo I'd rather have the sdn6 so it is actually quiet. The numbers I've seen for the mini7 on subsonic 300blk are not that great.

"He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one" Yes, I have a murse, a bug out bag, and a 5.56 caliber sword... Because, Jesus said so. |

Started out with a red dot on it, but quickly realized My eyes do better with a scope, so I put a 1.5-5x on it.
Swapped out fore ends, so I did a barrel-less mock up of what a 9" barrel would look like... And some video... At about 1:00 there is some video of my rifle with a 9mm Thompson Machine can on it and after that, my upper on a buddy's M-16 lower. Video |

Nice! How does the 8" Noveske shoot? That's the barrel I'm getting when my paperwork clears. (and the 7" VTAC hand guard) So far this is all I got for my upper..
