finally ordered a new bison upper.  I got an 18"SPR bead blasted with 13"troy trx quad rail, YHM forged upper, vortex, YHM low profile gas block.  its gonna be sweet.

Any modifications i should consider making to my lower before the upper gets here?  its stock with a dd lpk.  Most of the ones i have seen have 2 stage triggers, should i consider upgrading, moe stock, ergo grip, etc...?

Very nice! Mines on order also. The only mod I did to my lower was a Noveske QD end plate for my sling.

Lots of 6.8 shooters run the Tubbs SSS flat wire buffer spring and M16 bolt carriers.  Ask Ben at Bison what he'd suggest.

I have two 6.8's one is a Bison Arms 16" on a RRA two stage lower with a CTR stock and enhanced butt pad and Rainier Arms muzzle brake.  The other is an LMT 18" monolithic 18" SS barrel with a UBR stock regular butt pad and YHM flash hider.  It is also on a RRA lower but with a unknown very smooth light single stage trigger as I bought it used, I'm not sure what trigger is in it.  The LMT with the UBR stock is significantly heavier but recoils more and has more muzzle rise.  I attribute the reduced recoil and muzzle rise on the Bison being from the Rainier Arms muzzle brake and enhanced but pad so these are two things I'd consider.  I'm not recoil sensitive at all but it amounts to faster follow up shots.  I will be ordering a Troy 6.8 Medieval muzzle brake for the LMT as I have tried these on .556's and they work very well so I want to check the comparison.

If accuracy is important then you should consider a decent trigger.  Geissele is worth the extra money.  I have a D&D LPK in one of my lowers and for a combat trigger it's decent but at the cost of 6.8 ammo and it's capability at being accurate at distance, I would not want to waste that bullets capability on a single stage trigger like the D&D.

And just as an FYI my Bison Arms really likes the  Hornady 115gr. ammo.
