Added a .308 PWS piston rifle (MK214) to the mix today (w/ side rail delete and G36e hand guard mod)...

Well isnt that interesting.............. What mods did you have to make for G36 handguards..? The PWS hand guard allows for the side rails to be removed. Once those are off, I drill out the rivets on the HK G36 hand guard to slide the heat shield off. Depending on which size HK hand guard is used, it takes some filing, drilling and sawing to remove material from the plastic hand guard to get it to clear in all spots while fitting snugly. Drilling the holes at the rear of the hand guard allows it to be stretched over and popped onto the QD studs on the PWS upper. There is no wiggle on any of these I've done. |
