I messed up Big time!
I have a AR-10T Receiver and Bolt [ArmaLite]. After mounting a barrel and finding bad head space, I removed the Barrel and like a Jerk reinserted the Stripped Bolt and Carrier Assembly back into the upper and allowed the assembly to point downward which [[of course]] sends the Bolt Fully into and past the end of the chamber with the Rings locking it in place! What an Ass! I did this once with a AR15 and it was fairly easy to work it forward. But this one is not! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. gw11 |

Well ! A couple of beers and a happy attitude does sometimes result in good out comes!
I got myself out of this problem by making a tool. 9" long X 1/8" OD steel rod with a long taper to a point and I then bent the pointed end for the last 1/8" slightly [15 degrees or so]. I inserted it from the back of my Carrier into and through the Bolt till it hit the Cam Pin. When turned the tool would rotate the cam Pin a little at a time. I got the hole to line up after just a few turns, but for the offset of the Top Flat of my Cam Pin the bolt would not move. So I went around 180 degrees which did take a lot longer and a couple more Beers and success! The Cam pin is a little scratched up so I will replace it. I will leave this up in case someone in the future has a flash of "Jerk" on their own! gw11 |

Hell no, I don't understand any of it. Well, except for the beer and neat way of unmucking a bad situation.
