I'm very interested in 6.5 MPC or PPC (is it the same?).  You have probably posted them elsewhere but do you mind throwing up some pics of your rig also?

ETA: Barrel length?

Jason, the 6.5 MPC (Multi Purpose Cartridge), the 6.5 PCC (Patriot Combat Cartridge) are different cartridges...although, they are both based on the .223 case.

The 6.5 MPC is a proprietary round by SSK Industries (JD Jones) and has a lower case capacity vs. the 6.5 PCC Wildcat (26-27gr. case capacity vs. 32-33 gr. case capacity) designed for the AR.

The 6.5 PPC is based on the .220 Russian case, then became( through AA) the 6.5 Grendel (non 223 based, 35-36gr. case capacity).

I believe the one he is using is a 16" Bbl. version...

Thanks for the clarification... I actually meant PCC

Its a standard upper with standard hand guards.  I'll still take pics if you really want to see it.  The accuracy and velocities I am getting are very good.  Its pretty much getting midrange Grendel performance as far as muzzle velocity.  I am very happy with the round.  I use standard 223 mags, bolt, magazine and it feeds perfectly.  Only the barrel is different.

Dr69er-  Can you run H-335 and H-110 through your program for the MPC?  Thanks

Sure, I will use both programs...Just let me know for which bullets...is your max. COL 2.240" (IIRC from JD Jones), I already know its a 16.1" Bbl. and I'm pretty sure max. case capacity is 26-27grs.
Just confirm those numbers for me...

Thanks!  Maybe skip the H335.  Doesnt seem like a performance booster.  Maybe try the H110.

The Following is for H110 powder for the 6.5 MPC: Standard Reloading Disclaimer USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ! 27grs. Max Case Capacity, 2.20" COL. 16.1" Bbl. length.

95gr. V-Max**********Charge: 17.65grs.*************Velocity: 2,400fps.*************Pressure: 55,000 PSI (MAXIMUM PRESSURE)
100gr TTSX****************** 16.05****************** 2,275******************* 54,782*********************************
120gr TTSX****************** 14.37****************** 2,025******************* 55,046*********************************

Looks like H110 is too fast (developes high pressure very quickly) to get enough velocity w/ safety...You may have better luck w/ AA1680, RL-7, H322 which are a little slower burning...
Again, you may be able better (higher velocity) than the computer predicts...Good Luck.

Ready to take these babies to the range.

120gr HotCor
22.2 gr Norma 200

One thing that really limits the 6.5 MPC is the norrow range of powders that can be used...Although, the Norma 200 powder is one of
the ones that are recommended by SSK.

Good Luck w/ them, they should shoot well...
