I'm getting ready to install a Timney trigger in my DPMS LR308.  Do I have to remove safety selector?
Thanks

It comes with instructions, you need to read those yourself and not take some joe blow off the internets advice over the manufactures. I have one it was one of the best things I've ever bought for an AR. But no you do not to take out the selector.

It is not difficult to install, but you do need to follow the instructions... and take out the selector.  Gunblast has a pictorial on the install, Google ar10 trigger install and look for the detailed page (there are two different pages- one is detailed, the other is not).  The best advice that you can get is to use some thin grease to "stick" the set screws to the allen wrench.  The wrench can then be used without losing the screws as you are working in a small area to screw them in place.  You will see what I mean when you start the project.  If you take your time, it may take 10-15 minutes... just read through the instructions and look at the pictorial mentioned.

I put one in my Remington R25 (DPMS in Camo!) and yes the install is very easy but there is one thing to check for and that's how hard the bolt is contacting the hammer.  After I installed mine they very front of the hammer rubbed on the receiver.  A quick call to Timney revieled that sometimes this happens and that the front of the hammer needed to be taken down a little.  20 minutes later and some stoning and it worked great.

make sure u function test the shit out of it b4 you put ammo in there.  The one i put in my AR10 was all screwy.  IT would sometimes fire when I would drop the bolt, chambering the 1st rd from a mag.  WHen I could turn the selector etc....  I  got a real dud, but then Timmney sent me anohter one out for free and it works grreat not and I love the pull.
